The Transitory
From October 2007 to May 2008, I have documented Bozeman and its inhabitants. The places and subjects that I have chosen reflect my experiences in the past three years, and what I see as distinctively Bozeman. I use the view camera for its function as a scientific instrument. The view camera allows me to thoroughly investigate the scene, capturing every detail in the frame that I construct. The people are not taken out of their environments--just directed out of their routines. These photographs create a future reference to the past.
